First Phaelia, and now BRK… If Matticus is next I am going to seriously look for a fallout shelter.

We’ve lost two of our best, brightest, and favorite bloggers in the past few weeks, and they’ve both left for the right reasons.

I am sure they also have the blogging community in general looking very closely in the mirror. Am I neglecting my family for this game and Blog? Are there things that I am passing up to blog, or play? Personally I feel I’m pretty safe. I’ve curbed much of my extra gaming time for real life recently, and being sick last week took even more of that gaming time away.

I have found time recently to spend time with my friends and family outside of the game, during times when, a month or so ago, I would have been loath to step out of the confines of my gaming chamber. I’ve been traveling, I’ve been dating, I’ve even been sleeping away from home. (oh the humanity! What about Transmute cooldowns???)

What I am saying is this: I have looked in the mirror, and I see a well adjusted person who has his priorities straight, for the first time in a long time. That said, I won’t be going anywhere, friends.

I would like to leave you with this parting word from Wow’s loading screen tips. I will paraphrase, since I don’t have them listed in front of me.

Take all things (even WoW) in moderation.

When all you want to do is sleep, not much Wow or Blog happens. For the past week I’ve been fighting the Strep bug that I guess is “going around” up here. So I have logged literally 30 minutes of game time in the past 8 days. I am back at work, and staying awake past 8:00 finally, so I should be wowing tonight. If I do, You’ll hear about it. If not… I’ll probably be quiet. I have a few ideas I want to play with for my UI, but no desire to actually do the tweaking necessary, so I’ll probably stick with what I have, and there goes another UI post down the tubes…

I think my largest UI hurdle is going to be condensing my bars to a manageable few. I have a giant block of humanity down there on the bottom of my screen and I want to fiddle with it and get it in a good working order, but as a druid with shape-shifting and all of that, I don’t know if that’s even possible. And with the 3.1 changes coming, will my current bars even work with the dual-spec system? Looks like I have a Friday-Monday project this week. PTR Here I come??

Another project which seems to be on the cutting room floor is my RP project. But I think it was just having trouble coming up with a valid back-story for an established NON-RP character, which could explain his inconsistencies… So Perhaps I have to make a new character and a new back-story… Off the cutting room floor, and back to the storyboards….

We’ll see what April has in store for me. We’ll see.

It was mentioned briefly on my Twisted Nether interview, so I thought I’d commission myself to make a post on it…

The story of Bob….

Llanion is Bob. That is fact. But, it’s not the whole story. Llanion is Admiral Llanion of the Blog Azeroth Chat room. He is also Llanion of Mooonfire the blog, which is hosted at frostmage.net.   Yeah. It’s confusing to me too. That’s why I’ve taken so long writing this post. That doesn’t answer the question of, why Bob? so, Why  Bob indeed? It all started with Our favorite Hunter/Priest, Bre. When Llanion arrived on the scene n BA chat, Bre had a hard time pronouncing his name, and decided to dub him Bob. It was easy to say, so it stuck.

It spawned endless Bob jokes, Including the ever popular” What about Bob?” But I digress. Somehow, whenever a new person enters BA chat, someone (not always me) calls them Bob. I decided to take this one step further and assign the Bobs numbers. We had a Bob Squared, or Bob the second, but he doesn’t come around here no more. That was Widget. We then Met Fauldsey, who was actually Faulsey from Master’s Call some called him Faulsey, others called him Bob, I’m pretty sure someone started calling him “Dless” because Faulsey was the D-less version of Fauldsey. I mainly called him Bob the Third, or Bob cubed.

We then met Engy, who was instantly Bob the 4th. And strangely, right after he arrived,Softi logged in, so I called her Bobette. Then Stop logged in, so I called him Bob the 5th. Then Fim logged in, and I called him Bob the 6th. Bre was next, so she got the name Bobette the second. Rav logged in shortly after, and Boom! Bobette the third. Jess is LadyBob, because I felt bad calling her Bro, because she’s Awesome!

And that’s how we came up with all of our Bobs.

I really need a hobby, or less coffee.

Bob:  Llanion
Bob the second: Widget.  I suspect he doesn’t exist anymore,
Bob cubed: Faulsey
Bob the fourth: Engy
Bob the Fifth: Stop
Bob the 6th: Fimlys
Bobette the First: Softi
Bobette the second: Bre
Bobette the third: Rav
LadyBob: Jess

And just for kicks, Bob’s your Uncle.

Last night was Maerr’s first night in his new Guild, and what an eventful night it was!

First was Heroic Sartharion. We tried 3 drakes for a while and that wasn’t happening, so we tried Two.

Annnnnnd…

firstnight

Then, after that, A few of us went to go see if we might be able to get a mount in Sethekk halls, and lookie Lookie. It’s no mount, but….

sethekk

All in all, I think this guild is going to work out JUUUUSSSSSST Fine.

It seems that while Maerrakech and Fohrbin have found a new home, We are both out of a job…(I love speaking in third person)

Yes, it’s true. I am now Unemployed. This economy is brutal, and not even we hard working folk are immune to it.

I guess there’s a silver lining to the situation. Apparently the Unemployed of Hydraxis have formed a union of sorts and have accepted me into it with the stipulation that I help with Healing for raids on Naxx, Malygos, and Sartherion. So, not all unemployment means no work. It’s just volunteer work, and I’m glad for it!

(and that’s about as close to RP as I get, which shall be changing soon I think)

Directly from Blizz’s email:

The Paid Character Transfer for the character MAERRAKECH on the MAELSTROM realm has been completed successfully.

– The transfer has moved this character to the Hydraxis realm. The character should be available for play on the destination realm the next time you log in to World of Warcraft.

Not sure what this means for Fohrbin. I didn’t get an email about him, but so far, Looks like I has new home!
