You may recall that on Memorial day I posted up a small list of goals and objectives I had for my time in the game. Well, over the past couple of months, I have been slowly and steadily working on them and anyone who’s observant enough will already know I have taken two of them down. I didn’t post them when they happened, mainly because I have been feeling lazy, but here I am, posting about my completed goals.

First, Let’s talk about the easy one. Exalted with the five Horde Factions. With the advent of the Argent Tournament this one was rather easy. I had previously grinded(ground?) to exalted with Silvermoon by doing all of the starter quests one weekend, and then running Stratholme for Runecloth. Two birds there, AD and Silvermoon rep got exalted. Thunder Bluff was pretty close and the rest weren’t too far behind, so I just did my tournament Dailies and got myself as many token things as I could to catch Undercity up to the rest of them (which was only honored when I started). Once I got UC done, the rest were a quick and simple grind to the top doing tournament dailies.

So, here I am, Ambasador Maerrakech in all my glory! yay!!!!

Next on the list actually seems to me the most difficult of the initial goals I had set out for myself. Yes. It is true. Unemployed Killed Yogg-Saron. Ten members of Unemployed headed off to Ulduar one Tuesday and cleared all the way to Yogg himself, and when the call for another healer went up on Wednesday I quickly took up the reins and we had 3 hours of pure Progression goodness! 20 attempts at a fight I had never even researched before. That night we did not get her down, but Thursday… Thursday the same 10 people logged in and at about 8 minutes before scheduled raid time, we summoned our last member, buffed and started the fight. First attempt… 3%. Seriously… We almost Killed Yoggy before the raid had even officially begun! Second attempt we lost our Moonkin to a DC and had to wipe it. Third attempt, more of the same. Latency related deaths… Fourth try is a charm? Yes indeed! Ten Unemployed(link to Screeny) standing at the end over the decimated corpse of one of the most epic bosses yet!

Does the 10-man kill count for my goal? I never specified, but being in a Heroic guild, I could have assumed that it wouldn’t count…. But no. It counts. The feeling was the same as if we had 25 people there, and I am sure that when we get more than 21 people to sign up for a raid week we’ll down Yoggy for sure, and THAT feeling will be the same. But I’m counting this goal Crushed! With authority! Not a Single member went Crazy!

The funny thing is, I had not been there for a Mimiron or General Vezax kill, so I didn’t get the same Achievements that the rest of them did. That is, until the next Week when we didn’t have 25 sign up!

Next I have to find time to play on non-raid nights so I can do the rest of this crap!

Pay no attention to the gear behind the Armory link. Your Treebound cat has not forsaken you. The Spec and gear listed there are not an indication of anything at all sinister. All that’s going on here is this…

Unemployed needed me to DPS in 10-man Ulduar, and with the help of my Favorite Beercow, I got my gear put together and decided that yes. I was ready to DPS as a Moonkin! She even let me buy those nice bracers and an enchant from the guild bank for 100 Gold.

I’m just sorry that she wasn’t there to see me in my oonkin Glory, as she raided with the other 10-person group this week. 2 Moonkin would have been silly for one group anyway…

More details to come.

Yup, <Unemployed> of Hydraxis (US CST) is looking for a few more to add to our raid team. Specifically, we’d really like:

Resto Shaman
Resto Druid (that doesn’t mind DPSing as needed. I hates DPS,  I does!)
DPS DK (Inorite?)
Destro Lock

We could also use a Hunter, Holy Pally, Rogue, and DPS Warrior, but are looking to fill the classes listed above first. Another Mage wouldn’t hurt either. (yes, I know we pretty much just listed every class in the game. Sue us.)

Our 25man raid schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, invites at 6:30pm CST and finishing up around 10pm. We saw Heroic General for the first time a week or so ago, and are looking forward to whupping his ass soon™. We Downed him this week in Normal and have so far made great strides at killing Yogg (tonight will tell)

You don’t need to be geared to the teeth, but you do need to be age 18+, have some raid experience, enjoy raiding in an adult environment, and know the difference between standing in good and bad crap on the floor. (fire, no matter what color it is, is bad)

If you’re interested or have any questions, look for Pilsner in-game for more information, or apply at http://unemployed.freeforums.org. Server transfers are welcomed, sometimes. I should know. I was one!

…because obviously I never got the memo.

What is so wrong with using Lifebloom? Seriously I’d like an honest explanation on this since it usually accounts for at least  a third of my healing done. I love the spell, I use it in conjunction with Rejuv and Regrowth and Nourish and Wild Growth… Why is it that the most vocal of my fellow druids bemoan the use of Lifebloom and claim to never use it?

What is so wrong with it that I don’t see?

Last night since we had so many people unable to attend our regularly scheduled 25(23)-person raid, The officers of Unemployed decided to run 10-person raids instead. We had 10 people interested in doing so, so off the 10 of us went into the fray and took our chances in Normal Mode Ulduar.

First off, let’s show you the Raid Comp.
Feral Druid, Balance Druid, Resto Druid, Holy Pally, Holy Pally, Elemental Shmamamaman, Warlockery of some sort, DK of some sort, Warrior of some sort, Rogue.

Low on Buffs I felt we may have issues, But… we really didn’t. We actually had a great time with very few wipes.

Now, it’s the setting which I think makes things funny. it was Ulduar. Still no cakewalk, and yet I pretty much goofed off the whole night. Much more so than if we were doing Heroic. How is it that Normal Ulduar makes that ok? I’m not sure.

But I loved it!

That said, I can’t wait til we do Heroic Ulduar again next week!
